About Action Computer Forensics

About Action Computer Forensics

Richard York established Action Computer Forensics' here in San Antonio, Texas on August 1st, 2008.

He brings over 19 years of computer science expertise as a technological specialist in Computer Forensics and advanced Data Recovery acquired during his tenure as the Executive VP of Southwest Stars Corporation.

An early internet pioneer, Richard began Southwest Stars' in 1989 and built it from a one-man shop into an elite team of Information Technology Specialists who provide rapid deployment of advanced technology, IT crisis management, and data recovery to clients worldwide.

Richard uses the same values to guide Action Computer Forensics. We pledge to provide the most rapid, appropriate, and effective project solutions to our clients.

The foundation of our success is based on the following five principles:

  1. Value

Our success in achieving value for our clients is verified by our loyal clients and their 1000's of employees who were able to run their businesses with minimal disruption of day-to-day operations while immediately reaping the benefits of enhanced technology.

Our success in delivering long-term value is validated by the large quantity of systems we've deployed that continue to function dependably year-after-year with only minimal in-house maintenance.

Our goal is to bridge the gap between "state of the art" technology and "state of the market" business solutions.

  2. Responsiveness

Responsiveness to our clients' needs and projects is assured by our extensive stock of skill sets and technical expertise. This intellectual capital was acquired and is maintained by ongoing education and training, extensive debriefings of field consultants, in-house lab research and testing, and from our collaborative relationships with hardware manufacturers, software publishers, technical personnel, and professional consultants throughout the technology industry.

  3. Thoroughness

Our success in completing high-quality projects is based upon our meticulous attention to detail. This is our fundamental quality control principle when we are involved in a project. We combine Murphy's Law with the "worst possible scenario" to discover and correct any flaws in the work in progress.

  4. Flexibility

There's no single process that is perfect for all projects, but we know there are usually several approaches that will make each project succeed.

Our success in delivering completed projects ahead of schedule and under budget is the result of providing reality-based approaches with innovative options for our clients to choose from.

  5. Confidentiality

Our success in guaranteeing confidentiality for all of our clients is based upon several control mechanisms including a single point of contact between our organizations; 24-hour monitored & access controlled facilities including an isolation laboratory and variety of Non-disclosure agreements. If high security data recovery is specified, engineers will perform the recovery in a secured locked area. When the recovery has been completed, two copies of the data are sent to you by different shipping methods and all onsite copies of the data are destroyed.

If security procedures require it, we are also available for on site service.
